Preparing for the future can be a painstaking task, but at the ECC Employment and Training Center, we can assist you in finding employment, guide you down the right path, and provide you with the tools necessary to become successful.

What better way to gain valuable work experience than through a summer or after school job. Through our efforts at the ECC Employment and Training Center, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable training on the job, earn money, meet new people, and experience some individual freedom and satisfaction from a good day's work.

Our summer program provides employment to qualified youth throughout Erie County. In this program you will learn what it takes to succeed on the job and gain workplace "know-how" skills. These skills will set the foundation for successful employment. We can also provide assistance in obtaining after school employment.

In order to put you on the path to success, we provide many job search techniques and preparation for job interviews. Job readiness workshops will acquaint you with employers' expectations. Workshops will focus on communication skills, teamwork, time management, positive work habits, responsibility, and appropriate interview behavior.

A first impression goes a long way. Together, we'll explore common interview questions and answers, and appropriate dress for an interview.

Our goal is to provide the necessary tools for a successful transition from school to work. In partnership with local schools, community agencies and employers, we are dedicated to increasing job opportunities and job retention, and lowering school dropout rates.
